Spring is in the air, wedding bells are about to start ringing and my lingerie line is taking off.

I've been hard at work getting new pieces designed for up coming shows and events as well as numerous photo shoots. This has been a wild roller coaster ride and I'm enjoying every moment of it.

So, with only 3 weeks to my BIG day and still loads to do I leave you with a little preview of one of the recent shoots with the gorgeous Kimber Lee. She is wearing one of my favorite pieces, the vintage inspired cherry garter belt. I love that her playful side is coming through in this shot.

I hope you guys have a great start to Spring and I will post a picture of the wedding as soon as possible. I'm super excited about wearing my custom 50's style dress by el Pochuca to say "I Do".

Happy Holidays & Our Countdown Begins!

Our Holidays are going to be extra busy this year. With only 4 months left until my BIG day I am in a mad rush to make final preparations for our crazy Vegas wedding. I also have some very exciting news coming soon about a new line coming from Voluscious Wear this spring. With that being said I want to share a few shops I’ve found while looking for all the right pieces for my wedding day. These shops offer great gift ideas for any soon-to-be bride or great gift ideas for you.

The first shop is LilaFrances. I found this shop on a recent Bridal blog and fell instantly in love with her personalized hangers. Makes the perfect gift for a bride-to-be for that perfect wedding gown photo. Visit their shop @ http://www.etsy.com/shop/lilafrances

The second shop is Hair Bows Wonderworld. With so much on my plate I just don’t have the time to design and make my vintage inspired Birdcage veil and flower fascinator. This shop was recommended to my by a friend and not only have I picked out the perfect hair accessory but I also found my bridal bouquet. Their Marie Antoinette inspired bouquet will floor you. Check out their shop @ http://www.etsy.com/shop/hairbowswonderworld

Finally Vintage 50’s Eyewear has so many frames that I could hardly decide which ones I wanted to wear down the isle. I’m not going to share which pair I’ve chosen. You’ll just have to wait until the big day. I was thinking that my ultra FAB Vivianne Westwood’s with rhinestones would suffice but I really got the itch for a pair of frames with a true 50’s look. Check them out @ http://www.etsy.com/shop/Vintage50sEyewear

Keep checking back on this blog because I will be posting pics of some final decisions for the wedding party, reception and after reception cocktails. My posts will be more frequent as the Big Day nears.

Dressing Up The Stinking Rose.

On a recent Girls Night Out at The Stinking Rose in Beverly Hills it hit me just how beautiful everyone looked just to come have a bite to eat. Lets face it, fashion and food go hand in hand. I can’t tell you how many times I meet my girlfriends for lunch/dinner and the first thing out of our mouths isn’t a greeting, but comments on our attire. I honestly think that we all love dressing up for our significant others but step it up just a notch for our girlfriends.

On this particular night we had sheer fabrics with cute ankle boots, bold prints, high waisted skirts paired with off the shoulder tops, skin tight denim body suits (smoking hot), classic solid black tunic paired with leggings and sexy leopard stilettos and a simple muted, pinstriped, sleeveless dress. There was so much excitement in our conversation over each other’s outfits, our shoes and matching accessories. I must admit, there was also a bit of envy. I spied a gorgeous red handbag and bold bead necklace that was just screaming my name.

So over our fettuccine pancetta, prawns and onions in a spicy red pepper garlic oil, gnocchetti, procecco and mojitos we discussed everything. The conversation covered two upcoming weddings, the return of a dear friend from her stint in the Army, a belated birthday, a new relationship and fashion. It was one of the most fun, stress-free evenings I’ve had in a while. It was FABulous!

So I’m going to share with you a few new finds that will possibly make your next dinner with friends as FABulous as ours. These are fun, sassy accessories that won’t break the bank, yet are sure to make a huge statement. I’ve picked three items: Bold, Simple yet Sassy, and Vintage Eye Wear.

First is the most FABulous accessory I've come across in a while. I can’t tell you how much I love this hat. This fun and flirty cake hat is super cute and only $60. Plus Miss Agent Lover aka Marie Lodi has one of the greatest blogs around. http://www.agentlover.com/blog/bakery/

Next up my dear friend Rosina makes the most beautiful hand sculpted rose rings. They are perfect if you are looking for a simple yet sassy design that will definitely be a topic ofconversation. Her beautiful designs range in price from $12-$24. I can’t express how beautiful these are. Check her out at her Etsy shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/MiaRosina?ga_search_query=miarosina&ga_search_type=seller_usernames

Lastly, my favorite new find for those of you into vintage eyewear. This shop has many different styles and range in price. But I am here to tell you that a great pair of glasses can make any outfit FABulous. http://www.etsy.com/shop/Vintage50sEyewear

Channeling Debbie Reynolds.

I’ve been debating for weeks over how to go about writing my blog. What subjects do I cover? What will people want to read? How do I begin? Of course my evil twin who I’ve named Ursula, reared her FABulous head and tried to convince me to make it all about her or Voluscious Wear. Thankfully I put the smack-down and kept ol’ Ursula in check. I mean, it can’t always be about ME. Or can it?

Last week I had a conversation with a friend who is going through a bad divorce. I let her vent. I listened to her cry and I did everything a good friend does. And then she said something that made me want to reach through the phone and ATTACK! The words she uttered next completely made my blood boil. “If I were prettier or thinner, this wouldn’t be happening to me.”

I’m willing to bet that being prettier or thinner had absolutely nothing to do with her husband leaving her. Bad things happen to good, thin, pretty people. Two words: Sandra Bullock. Two more words: Hallie Berry. Her soon-to-be ex is a J-E-R-K and let’s leave it at that. The bigger question is what happened to her self-esteem? Who is this person on the phone?

After I composed myself from her mind blowing statement, I gave her the best advice I had. “Girl! You need to pick your balls up, throw them over your shoulder and get a hold of yourself.” Actually those were Ursula’s words. That didn’t seem to work so I used my back-up advice, “Girl! In the FABulous words of Debbie Reynolds, ‘Chin up. Boobs out. It’s Showtime!’”

Ladies none of us are perfect. We all have body image issues from time to time. And those imperfections are what make us beautiful. They give us character and Honey, the world needs more character. So with that being said, I have decided that my blog will address confidence, beauty, being sexy, self-esteem, body image challenges and a little thing we like to call retail therapy. And of course I’ll be keeping you updated on Voluscious Wear, events we will be taking part in and all things FABulous!
Remember to love yourself!
